Gandhinagar/IBNS/UNI: Billionaire industrialist Mukesh Ambani highlighted his roots to the western state of Gujarat, which is also the homestate of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 here on Wednesday.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the business summit, Ambani, who is the chairman of Reliance Industries Limited, said, "I am a proud Gujarati, and Reliance was, is and will always remain a Gujarati company."

Ambani said this in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was the state's Chief Minister for three terms until he became Prime Minister in 2014.

Praising the Prime Minister's vision, Ambani said nothing can stop India from becoming an economy of $35 trillion by 2047.

Participating in the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani made five commitments towards the growth of Gujarat and announced plans to roll out green products from the company's giga factory in the second half of 2024.

He said that Reliance Group has started building the Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga Complex over 5,000 acres in Jamnagar.

"This will generate a large number of green jobs and enable the production of green products and materials that will make Gujarat the leading exporter of green products, and we are ready to roll this out in the second half of 2024 itself," Ambani said.

The summit was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi on Wednesday.
