Gurugram: Maruti Suzuki India on Friday announced the recall of more than 16,000 units of its two leading car models due to a fault in the fuel pump motor, media reports said.

India’s leading car manufacturer stated that it would recall 11,851 units of Baleno and 4,190 units of WagonR models produced between July and November 2019, reported Reuters.

"It is suspected that there is a possible defect in a part of the fuel pump motor, which in a rare case may lead to engine stalling or engine starting issue," Maruti said, according to the report.
