New Delhi, Oct 11 (IBNS): JSW Group is painting its offices-JSW Centre in BKC and Jindal Mansion on Pedder Road in Pink to raise awareness of International Day of the Girl Child on Sunday and the challenges faced by girls in India and worldwide.
This initiative is in line with JSW’s vision “Janam Se Janani Tak – JSW Aap Ke Saath”, a long term commitment aimed at extending services to meet the pressing needs towards empowering women and children living in the Direct Influence Zone of JSW's plant locations and beyond.

From October 7 to October 12, several prominent buildings in Mumbai including Jindal Mansion and JSW Centre in Mumbai will be lit in pink lights in support of International Day of the Girl Child

International days are an important way to raise awareness about issues that require attention and action. The International Day of the Girl Child creates a foundation for worldwide advocacy to ensure that girls get the recognition they deserve as key actors in achieving both gender equality and their own empowerment.

Sangita Jindal, Chairperson JSW Foundation, said “As an organisation we have been working on ground for more than 20 years and feel strongly about enhancing the lives of individuals particularly women. Our initiative, Janam se Janani Tak actually follows various stages of lifecycle, touching lives of pregnant women and new born children, infants, pre-school children, school children, adolescents and employable women. This framework helps us to create touch points at every junction of a woman's life and create positive impact, promote empowerment and fulfillment of human rights through meaningful interventions.”
