Chennai, June 20 (IBNS): L&T Construction and Mining Machinery has opened an ultra-modern service and training centre for repair of construction and mining equipment at Kanchipuram, near Chennai.

The centre was inaugurated on Thursday by J.P. Nayak, former member of board, Larsen & Toubro.

“The centre built with state-of-art infrastructure forms an important part of L&T’s product support activities in the construction and mining equipment industry, and provides one-stop solution to customers in southern India. L&T has always been considered as the best service provider in this industry, and I am sure this facility will further strengthen our service capabilities,” said Nayak.

The service centre is spread over an area of 33,500 sq m and houses specialized machinery and exclusive bays to provide service solutions for high-value equipment like dozers, loaders, dumpers and excavators.

This facility is one among the five service centres established by L&T for the construction and mining equipment industry. The others are at Nagpur, Pune, Durgapur and Bahadurgarh (near Delhi).
