Petrol price slashed by Rs. 3.02 per litre, diesel price to increase by Rs. 1.47

New Delhi, Feb 29 (IBNS) Petrol price has been slashed by Rs. 3.02 per litre but diesel will cost Rs. 1.47 a litre more, officials announced on Monday.

"Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. has decided to effect the following price changes w.e.f midnight of 29th February 2016 / 1st March 2016," Indian Oil Corporation said in a statement.

"Decrease in Retail Selling Price of Petrol by Rs. 3.02/litre at Delhi (including State levies) with corresponding price revision in other States. With this change, the price of Petrol in Delhi will become Rs. 56.61/litre," it said.

" Increase in Retail Selling Price of Diesel by Rs. 1.47/litre at Delhi (including State levies) with corresponding price revision in other States. With this change, the price of Diesel in Delhi will become Rs. 46.43/litre," the company said.
