Petrol, diesel prices increased

New Delhi, May 16 (IBNS): Adding troubles for consumers, petrol and diesel prices were hiked on Monday.

While petrol price was increased by 83 paise per litre, diesel was hiked by Rs. 1.26 per litre.

The new prices will come to effect from midnight of May 16 and 17.

"Increase in Retail Selling Price of Petrol by Rs. 0.83/litre at Delhi (including State levies) with corresponding price revision in other States. With this change, the price of Petrol in Delhi will become Rs. 63.02/litre," read a statement issued by the India Oil Corporation.

"Increase in Retail Selling Price of Diesel by Rs. 1.26/litre at Delhi (including State levies) with corresponding price revision in other States. With this change, the price of Diesel in Delhi will become Rs. 51.67/litre," read the statement.
