New York, July 29 (IBNS): Global technology giant Microsoft is planning to slash thousands of jobs this year, media reports said.
According to reports, Microsoft in its regulatory filing said it is planning to lay off an additional 2,850 workers.

In May, it had earlier announced its pan to slashing 1,850 jobs.

"In total, Microsoft will cut 4,700 jobs worldwide by the end of the company’s fiscal year 2017," Fortune reported.

"Microsoft said that the job cuts will mainly target its smartphone hardware business and global sales unit," it said.
