Airtel rolls out 4G in North Bengal, launches services in Siliguri

Siliguri, Sept 9 (IBNS): Bharti Airtel, India’s largest telecommunications services provider, today launched its 4G services in Siliguri.

With this, Siliguri has become the first town in North Bengal to have 4G mobile services.

Airtel 4G enables customer to enjoy uninterrupted HD video streaming, superfast uploading and downloading of movies, music and images. Airtel 4G is available to customers across a range of smart devices including mobile phones, 4G hotspots and dongles. Customers can enjoy Airtel 4G at the price of Airtel 3G with the option of choosing from a host of attractive tariff packs.  

Airtel 4G in Siliguri has been rolled out using spectrum band of 2300 MHz (TD LTE) which ensures higher spectrum efficiency and increased upload and download speeds, which translates into a superior customer experience.

Commenting on the launch, Ravindra Singh Negi, CEO – West Bengal & Odisha, Bharti Airtel Limited said, “We are delighted to roll out our 4G services in Siliguri, this is a milestone for Airtel with Siliguri becoming the first town in North Bengal to experience Airtel 4G.
