Nikon launches COOLPIX Spring Series 2014

New Delhi/Kolkata, Apr 11 (IBNS): Nikon India, a 100% subsidiary of Nikon Corporation, recently announced the launch of its COOLPIX Spring Series 2014.

 

Catering to the varied shooting requirements of beginners, photography enthusiasts and leisure snappers, the COOLPIX Spring Series 2014 integrate sophisticated features, high performance and super telephoto capabilities up to 60x zoom, Dynamic Fine Zoom1  , high definition video recording, Wi-Fi capabilities, GPS technology and many more that make capturing images simple and exciting.

The 16 new models added to the COOLPIX portfolio, integrate the best of Nikon’s heritage with youth, sparkle, cutting-edge innovation and relentless pursuit of quality, the company said in a statement.
 
On the announcement, Hiroshi Takashina, Managing Director, Nikon India said:  “Nikon strives to answer the diverse photography needs of the consumers with innovative, stylish and technologically superior offerings. In the new COOLPIX spring range 2014 we’ve incorporated useful features and technology while still providing the image quality that Nikon has become synonymous with, so users can spend less time maneuvering their camera and more time steering their photography experience and adventure. The compact and portable size makes these cameras ideal to have on-hand, to capture all significant and everyday moments of life.”

The new COOLPIX cameras are specially designed to deliver remarkable clarity, easy operability, portability and image quality that Nikon is admired for. The launch included 16 new models with 45 color variants in the Life, Style, Performance and All Weather series. 
 
The latest COOLPIX P-series models COOLPIX P600, COOLPIX P530 and COOLPIX P340 come packed with creative features, super-long zoom lenses and the versatility needed to capture images and Full HD videos both near and far. 
 
The COOLPIX P600 boasts of a 60x optical zoom from a wide-angle 24mm to a 1440mm (35mm equivalent) range with the capability to reach even further using 120x Dynamic Fine Zoom1. The Nikon P600 is every budding filmmaker’s delight,  which shoots Full HD movies with stereo sound in 60i/50i formats, the company said. 
 
The COOLPIX P530 demonstrates the capabilities of NIKKOR optics through a 42x optical zoom with a 24-1000mm range (35mm equivalent) and 84x Dynamic Fine Zoom1. Night photography is made possible by its maximum ISO sensitivity of 6400.

The COOLPIX P340, on the other hand is equipped with a 5x (24-120mm, 35mm equivalent) wide-angle to telephoto zoom range plus 10x Dynamic Fine Zoom1 and a super-fast f/1.8 maximum aperture lens giving users the ability to control depth of field & shoot in a wide variety of lighting conditions. 
 
The COOLPIX P340 utilizes the strength of NIKKOR optics to capture super-sharp photos and Full HD 1080/60i videos with low noise and amazing color. The camera is equipped with built in Wi-Fi for instant sharing of images. The entire P series has Lens Shift Vibration Reduction (VR) image stabilization incorporated within to capture clear photos from incredible distances.
 
The Stylish S series goes a notch higher in performance with the COOLPIX S9700, S9600, S6800, S5300, S6700, S3600, S32 and S2800 and that  incorporates features that help users achieve the spectacular, sharp and vibrant images that point-and-shoot photographers seek. 

The COOLPIX S9700 possesses powerful 30x optical zoom and offers extreme telephoto shooting in a compact camera. 
 
The COOLPIX L330 is a compact camera with a 26x zoom and brags high-performance lens delivering exquisite clarity for wide-angle panoramas, extreme close-ups and everything in between. 

The COOLPIX L830 and L330 flaunt ultra-high-power zoom, comfortable operation, reliable and simple shooting. To make photography an easier and hassle-free experience, the L-series is bestowed with intelligent features like Easy Auto Mode, Smart Portrait System and more.
 
The AW series has the new rugged COOLPIX AW120, this camera is tough enough to use in the most severe outdoor situations with waterproofing to a depth of 18m, shock-proofing that allows the cameras to withstand falls up to approximately 2m, cold-proofing to approximately −10°C, and dust-proofing compliant with JIS/IEC Class 6 (IP6X). 
 
In addition to that the newfangled AW120 sports advanced shooting support functions, Wi-Fi connectivity, built-in mapping and an Electronic Compass to help navigate the unknown.
