Mumbai, July 23 (IBNS): The NSE Nifty hit a record high of 7,809.20 on Wednesday while Sensex was close to its life high.

Indian markets continued their gains to the seventh day followed by better-than-expected earnings and strong buying from overseas investors that really helped improve the Street’s scenario.

At 10:08 am, the Sensex was up 119 points to 26,145 while Nifty increased 27 points to 7,795.

In other global markets, Asian stocks edged up on Wednesday as risk aversion fuelled by recent geopolitical tensions continued to ebb.
