Mumbai, Aug 6 (IBNS): Indian rupee hit its four-and-half-month low of 61.41 against dollar on Wednesday.
This is the lowest since March 14 with the stock market weakness (the Sensex was down 33 points and Nifty also slumped 0.21 pc) affecting the rupee.
Earlier the rupee had hit a three month low on Aug 1 owing to a global sell-off as foreign investors sold Indian shares.
