Indian benchmark indices end lower on Tuesday

Mumbai, Jun 27 (IBNS): The Indian market ended lower on Tuesday with BSE Sensex down 179.96 points at 30958.25 and NSE Nifty down 63.55 points at 9511.40.

According to market reports, bank stocks largely led to the decline in benchmark indices.

Key stocks that gained were Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular, GAIL, ONGC, Hero Motocorp, Tata Steel and Adani Ports while SBI, Bank of Baroda, Axis Bank, ACC, Infosys, Asian Paints and Bajaj Auto declined.
