The Indian market sees record close on Thursday

Mumbai, Oct 26 (IBNS): The Indian market achieved another day of record closing on Thursday, with NSE Nifty rallying six per cent in October series -- the highest ever gains in a series in 2017, according to media reports.

BSE Sensex was up 104.63 points at 33,147.13 while NSE Nifty was up 48.40 points at 10,343.80.

Among the top gainers were BHEL, BPCL, HPCL, Cipla, Maruti Suzuki, Axis Bank and Tata Steel while ICICI Bank, HCL Tech, Idea Cellular, Tata Motors (D), SBI, Bharti Airtel, Power Grid Corp, Ambuja Cements and Asian Paints declined.
