A screenplay writing startup offers writers a chance to upload their work for global attention
Kolkata, Oct 31 (IBNS): In 2009, an Indian screenplay writer, Pinaki Ghosh, and an American screenplay writer, Nick Blake, came together to bring aspiring screenplay writers on the same platform.
The result was their start up, TheScreenplayWriters.com, which now represent writers from North America and India, the company said in its release.
“Since 2009, TheScreenplayWriters.com, the first platform for Hollywood and Bollywood screenwriters became a leading screenplay writing service for small to medium budget production studios and indi film makers. We have had clients from over 20 countries," said Ghosh.
He said, "Till today this screenplay writing service has handled over 100 screenplay projects, which include feature film screenplays, book to screenplay adaptation, treatment writer service, short film screenplays, TV series screenplay writing, web series screenplay writing, screenplay doctoring, and preparing screenplay for presentation to production companies."
TheScreenplayWriters.com also has a section where screenplay writers can sign up and list their already written complete screenplays, with a brief synopsis, for free, to be noticed by production companies.
Many ready screenplays have got sold through this startup, said the company.
In 2016, TheScreenplayWriters.com started post production service, producing short films and television commercials.
In 2017, they produced their first full length feature film Sin Sister, based on a story by an Australian novelist, Geri Hemer, co-produced by the author.
In spite of expanding their service range, TheScreenplayWriters.com sticks to its original motto, offering affordable screenplay writing service to filmmakers and production companies who have a tight budget, according to the company.
TheScreenplayWriters.com has also provided employment to many screenplay writers, the company said.
