Kolkata, Nov 16 (IBNS): Voltas Limited, the global air-conditioning and engineering services provider of the Tata Group, won accolades at the glittering MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health) Middle East Awards 2017 held in Dubai. The Company was recognised as the MEP Contractor of the Year.

The jury unanimously agreed that Voltas has an excellent international footprint, having worked on iconic projects, won recognition from clients and certified project professionals, not to mention its debt free books.

Voltas also won the Plumbing Project of the Year award for the Regent Emirates Pearl Hotel-Grand Hyatt in Abu Dhabi. The MEP scope of this project was not only complex but required special expertise and smart execution. Judges noted that the project stood out for re-using and re-cycling site water to minimize overall potable water consumption.

Speaking on the occasion, A R Suresh Kumar, General Manager- Projects & Corporate Business Development, Voltas Ltd. UAE, said “We are extremely proud of our achievements. Voltas has been operating in this Region since the last 40 years and we are glad our efforts have been recognised. We select our projects in such a way that we are able to do justice to the market and leverage our capabilities to the fullest. There are a lot of opportunities; it’s for the contractor to select what he wants rather than just going after everything.”
