Emirates honoured as the ‘Best International Airline’ at 'Trave+ Leisure India's Best Awards 2017'

Kolkata, Nov 27 (IBNS): Emirates, a global connector of people, places and economies, was recently honoured with the ‘Best Airline - International’ Award at the sixth edition the ‘Travel + Leisure India’s Best Awards’ 2017.

Presented by the magazine’s India & South Asia division, the Travel + Leisure India’s Awards honour the best in the travel and tourism industry, in India and across the world.

The awards are basis a poll conducted through their website over a period of two months where discerning readers of Travel + Leisure voted robustly for 97 awards across 57 categories.

Commenting on the award, Essa Sulaiman Ahmad, Vice President – India & Nepal, Emirates,said: “We at Emirates are honoured with this recognition. We endeavour to bring the best experience to our passengers across destinations. We are pleased to be voted as the Best Airline in the International category by Travel + Leisure. During the year, Emirates continued to invest in the most advanced wide-body aircraft to improve overall efficiency and provide better customer experience.Emirates also received 10 wide-body aircraft – 4 Airbus A380s, and 6 Boeing 777s, with 9 more new aircraft scheduled to be delivered before the end of the financial year. Emirates launched two new passenger services in the first six months of its financial year to Zagreb (Croatia) and Phnom Penh (Cambodia).

From unveiling game-changing,fully enclosed private suites in First Class inspired by Mercedes-Benz, placing order for 40 Boeing 787 Dreamliners, to partnering with Thales for next generation broadband connectivity, Emirates is all set to make a large presence in the future.
