Economic Survey presented : GDP to grow 7-7.5 per cent in 2018-19

New Delhi, Jan 29 (IBNS) : The government on Monday tabled in Parliament the Economic Survey of India which projected GDP growth between  7 and 7.5 per cent in  2018-19, reports said.

The Economic Survey 2017-18 was presented by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely on the opening day of the budget sessio

The Union Budget will  be presented on February 1.

The budget session began with a joint address by President Ram Nath Kovind to both house of the Parliament.

The recent projection by the World Bank shows that the Indian economy is expected to grow at 7.3 per cent in 2018-19. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) gives a growth projection of 7.4 per cent.
