Indian benchmark indices end negative on Monday

Mumbai, Feb 19 (IBNS): Indian benchmark indices ended lower on Monday but a late recovery helped to trim losses, according to media reports.

BSE Sensex was down 236.10 points at  33,774.66 and  NSE Nifty was down 73.90 points at 10,378.40.

Bharti Infratel, Coal India, Reliance, Kotak Mahindra, Axis Bank, Infosys, NTPC and Idea Cellular were some of the top gainers on Monday while Tata Steel, Adani Ports, Asian Paints, Dr Reddys Labs, M&M and L&T were some of the key stocks that declined.
