Mumbai, Sept 17 (IBNS): Continuing the upward trend, petrol prices crossed Rs. 90/litre in several towns of Maharashtra on Monday, media reports said.
Petrol prices in New Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata are Rs. 82.06/litre, Rs. 85.31/litre and Rs. Rs. 83.91/litre respectively.
The diesel prices are Rs. 78.33/litre in Mumbai, Rs. 78/litre in Kolkata Rs. 75.63/litre in Chennai and Rs. Rs. 73.78/litre in New Delhi.
Meanwhile, Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy on Monday announced a reduction of Rs. 2 on fuel prices.
Earlier, the Rajasthan government had reduced the fuel prices by Rs. 2.5/litre and the Andhra Pradesh government had cut the petrol and diesel prices by Rs. 2/litre.
The West Bengal government had announced Rs. 1 cut on fuel prices.
