Isha , Akash made directors of Reliance Jio Infocomm and Reliance Retail Ventures

Mumbai, Oct 11 (IBNS): In a a major development which indicated the succession planning at one of the biggest private firms of the country, Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited and Reliance Retail Ventures Limited approved the appointment of billionaire Mukesh Ambani's twin scions- Isha Ambani and Akash Ambani- as Directors on their Boards, officials said on Saturday.

The decision was taken at the Board Meetings held on Saturday.

Isha Ambani graduated from Yale University with double majors in Psychology and South Asian Studies.

She was a business analyst at McKinsey & Company's New York office.

"Akash Ambani graduated from Brown University with major in Economics. He is closely involved in the development of products and digital services applications in Reliance Jio," read a statement issued by the company.

"The Board of Reliance Retail today also appointed Adil Zainulbhai, an independent director of RIL, on its Board. Dipak Jain is already an independent director on the Board of Reliance Retail. Adil Zainulbhai and Dipak Jain are independent directors on the Board of Reliance Jio Infocomm," the company said in a statement.
