We believe liquidity needs are largely met: RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das
Mumbai, Jan 7 (IBNS): RBI governor Shaktikanta Das on Monday said steps will be taken if there is a liquidity shortage in the economy.
He, however, assured that liquidity needs have been currently met.
He is going to meet non-banking financial companies (NBFCs) on Tuesday.
"We believe liquidity needs are largely met," Das told reporters on Monday.
"We are constantly monitoring it," he said.
Das was appointed as the Governor after Urjit Patel resigned from the position recently.
