Kolkata, Jan 14 (IBNS): Kolkata-based Bengal Institute of Business Studies (BIBS) recently organised a seminar titled “Learnings for Life” for its MBA students to acquaint them with changing scenarios and how to boost confidence.

"India is passing through a very challenging phase, both economically and socially," said Vidur Kapoor, Chairman, BIBS. "We need leaders who are confident of their abilities, have the flexibility to adapt to changing scenarios and the heart to take on the world."

"We at BIBS have set out to educate the business leaders and entrepreneurs of tomorrow the lessons life have for us which will translate to key learning for life," he said.

Other speakers who address the students were Lt. Gen. Manoj Mukund Naravane, AVSM, SM, VSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Eastern Command, Indian Army; Arun Lal, former Indian cricketer; Agnimitra Paul, fashion designer; Alokananda Roy, dancer; Anjali Saraogi, India’s champion marathon runner; and Santanu Basu, renowned gamer.

BIBS has been adjudged as the second best B-School in Kolkata by Times B School survey and rated A** by CRISIL, the only B School in West Bengal to be thus rated.

The institute has also tied up with NSE Academy and PwC to offer industry-aligned courses, a representative said.

According to Kapoor, "Learnings from Life includes all the lessons good or bad that life throws at us at every moment in our journey. Today we attempted to learn not what causes those lessons or if at all we can manage the downs by only taking the ups, but actually developing an inherent personality to see beyond the temporary setbacks or achievements and preparing for the bigger journey called life. It’s all about perseverance, backing one's ability, developing a never say die attitude and moving forward till one's goals in life are achieved."

Students, officials, faculties from BIBS and other guests were present on this occasion.
