New Delhi, Feb 26 (UNI) With no relief in fuel prices on Tuesday, petrol price climbed to Rs 77.29 a litre in Mumbai and Rs 71.66 per litre in the National Capital.
In Mumbai and Delhi, diesel costs Rs 70.10 and Rs 66.90 a litre respectively.
Similarly, in Kolkata and Chennai petrol, is at Rs 73.76 per litre and Rs 74.41 per litre. And diesel costs Rs 68.71 in Kolkata and Rs 70.72 a litre in Chennai, according to Indian Oil Corp website data.
As per the country’s dynamic pricing mechanism, the domestic fuel prices depend upon international fuel prices on a 15-day average and the value of the rupee.
The price of the two fuels retailing at the petrol pumps is calculated after adding central excise duty, dealers commission and value-added tax (VAT) to the base price.
