Nissan India appoints Sriram Padmanabhan as Vice President- Marketing

New Delhi/Kolkata, Apr 2: Automobile major Nissan India on Tuesday said it has appointed Sriram Padmanabhan as Vice President – Marketing, Nissan Motor India Private Limited (NMIPL).

“As part of our strategy we are committed to focus on people development, product offensive and process excellence in India. Sriram brings in global marketing leadership and operational expertise and we are confident that he will lead and drive a holistic marketing strategy to accelerate our business growth in India,” said Thomas Kuehl, President, Nissan India Operations.

Padmanabhan brings to Nissan over two decades of international marketing experience with specific India business expertise in launching new products, building digital go-to-market competencies, establishing customer engagement, preparing dealer network for expansion and P&L ownership. He has led diverse teams across Europe, Australia, China, Thailand, India while providing thought leadership to internal and external stakeholders.

In this role, Sriram Padmanabhan will lead marketing strategies for Nissan and Datsun brands in India, with the aim of delivering long-term product portfolio, brand value and market share growth. He will be member of the Management Committee at NMIPL.

Padmanabhan will be based out of NMIPL’s Gurgaon headquarters, and will report directly to Thomas Kuehl, President, Nissan India Operations.
