Auto Rickshaws now available on the Ola app in Jaipur
After immense success of Ola's Auto booking service in eight cities viz. Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Pune, Chandigarh and Indore since October 2014, Ola is gearing up for expansion in more cities like Jaipur.
With over 1,500 autos already registered on the platform in Jaipur and over 75,000 across the country, the company makes the experience of hailing, tracking and payment, seamless for users.
The conventional process of hailing an Auto-rickshaw is quite cumbersome.
With Autos now being available on the Ola App, users can request a ride without having to step out, with the assurance of travelling at metered fares.
Customers can live-track their rides and can also share their ride details with loved ones. Ola Autos are available round the clock in Jaipur and upon booking from the Ola App, customers can get an Auto in 5 minutes or less.
Nitesh Prakash, Senior Director - Operations at Ola said, "We are excited to bring Auto-rickshaws on the Ola app in the city of Jaipur. Users in the city will now be able to book an auto with a single tap on the Ola app, just the way they are used to booking a cab. Ola's technology will help Auto-rickshaw driver-partners with access to increased and consistent revenue opportunity, and better utilization of their time and inventory.”

Customers can book Auto-rickshaws straight from the Ola app, which will now feature an Auto category.
Available autos around the pickup location are seen on a map in real-time and on booking, a customer can track their auto-rickshaw coming towards them on the map. Ola Autos are available in Jaipur at Just Rs. 9 per kilometre and there is NO Base Fare.
"An additional convenience charge of Rs 10 will be payable to the auto driver over and above the fare along with a ride fare of Re 1/minute. Night charges would be 1.25 times the normal fare. Customers can choose to pay their fare in cash or through Ola Money. Ola intends to on-board over 3000 Autos in the next six months in Jaipur," the company said in a statement.
