EDC pays dividend of Rs 86 lakh to Goa govt

Panaji/UNI: Economic Development Corporation (EDC) Ltd has paid a dividend of Rs 86 lakh to Goa Government for the financial year 2020-21, an official statement said on Thursday.

EDC achieved a total income of Rs 83 crore and exceptional income of Rs 27 crore totaling to over Rs 100 crore.

This is at the same level as the earlier year in spite of the pandemic. EDC achieved a profit of Rs 67 crore.

EDC also contributed Rs 1 crore to Chief Minister's Relief Fund to fight against Covid-19 during the Financial Year 2020-21 and made an expenditure on account of Corporate Social Responsibility of Rs 1.3 crore, the statement added.
