Govt planning to conduct another round of auction for J&K lithium reserves

New Delhi: The Central government is planning to conduct another auction for lithium reserves in Jammu and Kashmir as part of a third round, media reported citing sources.

The decision for this re-auction comes after the government received only two bids in the initial round, as per a source aware of the development, Reuters reported.

"A total of seven critical mineral blocks are being put up for auction as composite license in this third Tranche," the government had said earlier this month in a statement.

The last day for submission of bids is May 14, the statement said.
