India market: Sensex crashes 1491.06 points

Mumbai: The BSE Sensex on Monday crashed 1491.06 points to close at 52,842.75, an eight-month-low, as the US and its allies imposing wide-ranging sanctions on Russian oil export over its invasion of Ukraine.

The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) too slipped 382.20 points at 15,863.15.

The Sensex registered the day's high and low at 53,203.87 and 52,367.10 respectively.

The Nifty recorded the day's high and low at 15,944.60 and 15,711.45 respectively.
