New Delhi, Oct 31 (IBNS): Bringing some good news, India has jumped 23 places to 77th rank in the global Ease of Doing Business rankings.

The same has been possible with the feedback of the shareholders.

According to them, it has now become simpler to get construction permits and ship goods abroad.

The report, that comprises a list of 190 companies, has been released by the World Bank.

China has been the other major gainer among the BRICS nations which has been ranked at 46th place from its earlier 78th position.

Reacting to the development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted: "Delighted at yet another rise in India’s ‘Ease of Doing Business’ rank. We are unwavering in our commitment towards economic reforms, which will ensure an environment that fosters industry, investment and opportunities. @WorldBank."

After the Narendra Modi government came to power, India has moved up a total of 53 ranks including the performance of last year.

The latest development might be a major relief for the BJP government ahead of the 2019 elections as it is facing severe criticisms on economic front.
