Indian benchmark indices close positive on Tuesday
Mumbai, Jan 3 (IBNS): The Indian market was finally able to end Tuesday in positive territory after a lot of volatility during the business hours.
BSE Sensex was up 47.79 points at 26643.24 and NSE Nifty up 12.75 points at 8192.25.
Some of the key stocks that gained on Tuesday were Coal India, BHEL, Axis Bank, GAIL and ICICI Bank while Bharti Airtel,Hero MotoCorp, Tata Motors, Tata Steel and Wipro declined.
