Indian market closes lower on Tuesday

Mumbai, Jan 16 (IBNS): The Indian market experienced selling pressure in some key stocks on Tuesday and closed lower, according to reports.

The BSE Sensex was down 72.46 points at 34771.05, and NSE Nifty was down 41.00 points at 10700.50.

Top gainers included Wipro, HCL Tech, Infosys, TCS, ICICI Bank, Dr Reddys Labs and Tech Mahindra while Coal India, Tata Power, HPCL, Bajaj Finance, BHEL, Tata Motors, Tata Steel and Reliance were some of the key stocks that declined.
