Indian Market: Sensex bounces back 280.15 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Tuesday bounced back 280.15 pts at 50,051.44 on the strength of Realty, Bankex, Industrials and Materials stocks.

The Nifty too rose by 78.35 pts to 14,814.75.

Sliding by 85 pts on Monday, the sensex opened higher by 105 pts to 49,876.21. It rallied by 403 pts to 50,264.65, days high, before closing at 50,051.44 up by 280.15 prs from its previous close.

The sensex registered days high and low at 50,264.65 and 49,661.92 pts respectively.

The Nifty recorded days high and low at 14,878.60 and 14,707 pts respectively.

The sectoral indices like Bankex, Realty, Industrials, Energy and Materials stocks pushed the market up.

The scrips that shined were Ultracemco, HDFC Bank, IndusInd Bank, ICICI Bank and Titan.

However, selling in ONGC, Powergrid, ITC, NTPC and M&M capped from further gains, the broker informed.

The Mid Cap rose by 0.95 pc and Small Cap by 0.75 pc.

In 30 scrips, 18 advanced while 12 declined.
