Indian Market: Sensex crashes 933.84 points during week
Mumbai/UNI: Sensex slumped by 933.84 points or 1.84 pc to settle at 49,858.24 in a volatile week under review.
Resurgence of COVID -19 cases in various parts of the country made investor Jittery.
Spike in global bond yields also soured sentiment.
Nifty lost 286.95 points or 1.91 pc to settle at 14,744.
The BSE Mid-Cap index declined 550.43 or 2.67 to settle at 20,026.78. BSE Small-Cap dropped 715.18 points or 3.37 pc to settle at 20,493.89.
On Monday the Sensex tanked 397 points to settle at 50,395.08. The Nifty lost 101.45 points to settle at 14,929.50.
On Tuesday, despite favourable cues from global equities. Sensex, fell 31.12 points to settle at 50,363.96.Nifty declined 19.05 points to settle at 14,910.45.
On Wednesday the Sensex tumbled 562.34 points to settle at 49,801.62. Nifty lost 189.15 points to settle at 14,721.30.
On Thursday the Sensex dropped 585.10 points to settle at 49,216.52 Nifty declined 163.45 points to settle at 14,557.85.
On Friday the Sensex gained 641.72 points to settle at 49,858.24. Nifty added 186.15 points to settle at 14,744.
