Indian Market: Sensex down by 247.55 pts

Mumbai, Dec 10 (UNI) The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday tumbled down by 247.55 points to settle at 40,239.88 as selling was seen across the board amid weak global cues.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) too dropped by 80.70 points to 11,856.80.

The Sensex registered day's high and low at 40,588.81 and 40,208.70 points respectively.

The Nifty recorded day's high and low at 11,953.20 and 11,844.70 points respectively.
