Indian Market: Sensex down over 300 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Wednesday slipped by 340 pts at 50,988 as selling pressure was seen in Telecom, Bankex and Industrials stocks.

The Nifty too dropped by 87.45 pts to 15,021.85.

The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 51,512.86 and 50,965.22 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 15,168.25 and 15,006.10 respectively.

The Mid Cap fell by 0.24 pc and Small Cap by 0.21 pc.In 30 scrips 5 advanced while 21 declined.

The losers were Titan by 2.05 pc to Rs 1528.10, Bharti Airtel by 1.71 pc to Rs 588.55, IndusInd Bank by 1.70 pc to Rs 1008.75, Tech Mahindra by 1.69 pc to Rs 958.85 and Axis Bank by 1.44 pc to Rs 731.60.

The gainers were Bajaj Finserv by 1.71 pc to Rs 1010, Ultracemco by 0.74 pc to Rs 6465.05, HDFC by 0.29 pc to Rs 2755.95 and M& M by 0.18 pc to Rs 896.25.
