Indian Market: Sensex falls over 300 pts

Mumbai: The BSE Sensex on Monday dropped 302.32 pts at 65,022.33 in opening trade as selling was seen in Metal, Realty, Telecommunications and Commodities stocks.

The Nifty fell 108.65 pts at 19,319.65.

The selling in Metal, Realty, Telecommunications and Commodities kept the by low in opening trade.

The Mid Cap declined by 0.88 pc and Small Cap by 0.72 pc.

In 30 scrips, 6 advanced while 24 declined.

The losers were JSW Steel by 2.98 pc to Rs 795.75, SBI by 2.16 pc to Rs 561.80, Tata Steel by 2.12 pc to Rs 117.75, Bajaj Finserv by 1.95

pc to Rs 1473.80 and Tata Motors by 1.91 pc to Rs 600.

The gainers were Hind Unilever by 0.59 pc to Rs 2516.80, Reliance Industries by 0.44 pc to Rs 2559.20, Sun Pharma by 0.43 pc to Rs 1137.15 and NTPC by 0.93 pc to Rs 213.70.
