Indian Market: Sensex recovers 150 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Tuesday recovered pts to 48,033.74 in opening session following gains in Materials, Finance, Energy, Consumer Discretionary Goods and Services stocks.

The Nifty too rose by 62.45 pts to 14,373.25.

The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 48,148.94 and 47,775.32 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 14,392 and 14,274.90 respectively.

The Mid Cap moved up by 0.45 pc and Small Cap by 1.01 pc.

In 30 scrips 23 advanced while 7 declined .

The gainers were ONGC by 2.80 pc to Rs 772, M& M by 2.74 pc to Rs 772, Powergrid by 2.36 pc to Rs 205.85, L& T by 1.98 pc to Rs 1371.70 and Titan by 1.76 pc to Rs 1535.

The losers were TCS by 3.43 pc to Rs 3130.30, Tech Mahindra by 1.87 pc to Rs 1018.70, Infosys by 1.56 pc to Rs 1403.55 and Dr Reddy by 1.33 pc to Rs 4923.
