Indian rupee down 15 paise against USD
Mumbai, Oct 14 (UNI) The Rupee on Monday tumbled down by 15 paise to 71.17 on rising demand for US Dollars by bankers and importers, dealers at the Forex Market said.
In opening trade, the local unit jumped by 28 paise to 70.74.
Later, it slid and settled at 71.17, declining by 15 paise as compared to its last close.
The domestic unit recorded day high and low at 71.19 and 70.75 respectively.
The Indian currency remained under pressure on firm Dollar against other world currencies the dealer added.
