Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Monday dropped by twenty paise to 75.01 against the US Dollar on rising demand for US Dollar by bankers and importers, dealers at the Forex Market said.

The local unit that slipped by 8 paise to 74.90 in opening trade, lost further and ended at 75.01, down by 20 paise as compared to its previous close.

The Rupee slipped because of strong Dollar against other world currencies amid negative equity market, dealers said.
