Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Monday plunged 59 paise to close at 75.71 on rising demand for US Dollar by bankers and importers, dealers at the forex market said.

The local unit slipped 56 paise to 75.68 in opening trade and finally closed at 75.71, down by 59 paise as compared to its previous close.
