Indian Rupee drops 34 paise against USD

Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee remained weak for the third straight session on Tuesday, as it tumbled down 34 paise to 74.57 at close against the USD due to brisk demand for US Dollars by bankers and importers, dealers at the Foreign Exchange said.

The domestic unit fell by 16 paise to 74.39 in early trade.

Till the end of the session, it slid further and finished at 74.57, down 34 paise as compared to its previous close.

The Rupee unit registered the days high and low at 74.35 and 74.63 respectively against the US Dollar, dealers added.
