Indian Rupee up 29 paise against USD
Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Wednesday surged 29 paise to 73.80 in opening trade on selling of US Dollars by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.
The local unit strengthened against weak Dollar and other world currencies amid improving stock market, the dealers said.
A major oscillation was seen in early trade today as local unit registered intra-day high and low at 74.01 and 73.694 respectively, they added.
On Tuesday, the market was shut for 'Holi'.
