Indian Rupee up 8 paise against USD

Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Monday advanced 8 paise to close positive at 75.54 against the US Dollar on selling of the greenback by bankers and exporters, dealers at Forex Market said.

The domestic unit surged 28 paise to 75.34 in opening trade. Till the end of the day, it declined from opening level but ended positive only at 75.54, rising eight paise as compared to its previous close..

A fluctuation was seen during the session as it registered day's high and low at 75.60 and 75.30.

The Rupee moved up owing to weak dollar against other world currencies amid strong equity market, the dealers added.
