Indian Rupee down 69 paise against USD
Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee continued to slid as it dropped by 69 paise to 73.79 on brisk demand for US Dollars by bankers and importers, dealers at Forex Market said.
In opening trade, the local unit that tumbled down by 66 paise to 73.96, closed at 73.79, sliding by 69 paise as compared to last close.
The domestic unit registered day high and low at 74.09 and 73.66 respectively.
The Indian currency remained under pressure on firm dollar against other world currencies amid negative equity market dealer added.
