Indian Rupee up by 15 paise against USD

Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Monday gained further by 15 paise to 71.04 against the greenback on selling of US Dollars by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.

The local unit slipped by 9 paise to 71.29 in opening trade, later it erased earlier losses and ended firm at 71.04, rising by 15 paise as compared to its last close.

The Indian currency registered day high and low at 71.30 and 71.01 respectively.

The domestic unit surged owing to weak dollar against other world currencies along with rebounding stock market, they added.
