Indian Rupee falls by 7 paise against USD
Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Monday declined by seven paise to 71.85 on rising demand for US Dollars by bankers and importers, dealers at the Forex Market said.
Though the local unit jumped by 19 paise to 71.59 in opening trade, it erased earlier gain and ended weak at 71.85, sliding by 7 paise as compared to its last close.
The domestic unit recorded day high and low at 71.86 and 71.58 respectively.
Indian currency slid because of strong Dollar against other world currencies along with negative equity market, the dealer added.
