METRO Cash & Carry announces its 4th wholesale outlet in Bangalore

New Delhi, Apr 15 (IBNS): METRO Cash & Carry has announced the opening of yet another distribution centre in the heart of Bangalore, in the Binnypet area.

Slated to kick off operations sometime in late June-early July, the Binnypet METRO will be the company’s fourth outlet in the city.

METRO first entered the city of Bangalore in 2003 with their first two wholesale outlets at Yeshwanthpur and Kanakapura Road.  This was followed by a third outlet that opened on Hosur Road in December 2013.

In late March, the company announced that a third wholesale outlet in Shamshabad, Hyderabad is also geared to open around the same time as the company’s latest Binnypet outlet in Bangalore. Earlier last year, METRO announced its plans to expand its network of distribution centres to 50 by 2020.

“Providing high quality products and services at the best possible prices has always been our prime focus.  This is how METRO has built an enviable reputation in Bangalore over the last decade, and how we intend to continue servicing our ever-growing base of customers in this city," commented Rajeev Bakshi, Managing Director, METRO Cash & Carry India.

“In addition, we look forward to engaging further with local small and medium-sized businesses who can help us localize our assortments as part of our supplier network, providing greater cost savings and relevance to the growing Bangalore market," he said.
