Mumbai:  Scott Sports India, a legendary bicycle brand, introduces 'Avanti', which is set to be a household name in India.

The brand caters to a wide range of demographics with its high-quality bikes to offer a wholesome outdoor biking experience and offers something for everyone. The Olympic medal-winning bike brand launches Avanti' Giro FM1' for both men and women in the country.

After the brands' success in New Zealand and Australia, the brand is now set to make its landfall in India. Scott Sports India will mark the journey for Avanti in the Indian bicycle market.

The purpose of Avanti is to create high-quality bikes to lead a healthier lifestyle. Avanti bikes have been designed to exceed consumers expectations and deliver the best experience possible on two wheels. The bicycles are designed in their HQ by Avanti Design Technology ADT, bringing the benefits of research and tech to bike riders at all levels. Since 1985 the brand has been pushing the boundaries to make the bikes lighter, stiffer, and more agile.

The brand logo falcon represents the free spirit and the philosophy of Breaking Free and aspires to recreate the experience for all its cyclists and help them grow.

Avanti Giro FM 1 shows its Kiwi pedigree with a unique selection of components never seen before in India. It has smooth welds on the lightweight aluminium frame, usually found on more expensive bikes. With the FM1, we have the debut of the Microshift Acolyte drivetrain in India. Acolyte is simple and robust and is a one-by system with a wide range of gears.

It has a Spring-lock(clutch) mechanism, traditionally only seen on high-end bikes. Acolyte aspires to make high-end technology available to the masses and does deliver. Women riders won't be disappointed as the women's version (Giro FM 1W) has a different frame altogether with women-specific frame geometry and a wider saddle and a higher density saddle. Thanks to its carefully designed frame and components, the flat handlebar road bike looks and rides like a dream.

Commenting on Avanti's launch in India, Jaymin Shah, Managing Director, said “We are extremely excited to launch Avanti Bikes – our third cycling brand in India from the SCOTT group. Avanti represents a unique opportunity because it is a product designed specifically for the southern hemisphere countries. After being in New Zealand & Australia, we look forward to Avanti Being in India”.

Further adding, “We aim to have 100 dealer partners across the country with 12 models launching over the next 6 months, which will include kids bikes, road bikes & commuter bikes. We aim to add more kids, teenagers, and commuters to the cycling community in India.”

The competitive price will help the brand to grow in different geographical regions of India subsequently. The launch price of the GIRO FM1 models in India is Rs. 40,990 and will be available in a striking red and white colour. The bicycles are already available across the country through 70+ dealers. It can also be booked online by visiting the website www.sportnetwork.in.
