Panasonic India expands its home appliances range supported by ECONAVI technology

Kolkata, July 16 (IBNS): Panasonic India, a unit of Panasonic Corporation, the Japanese multinational electronic company, recently announced the expansion of its line-up of ‘Intelligent Home appliances’ range consisting of refrigerator, washing machine and microwave.

The company, which observed its 100th birthday this year, has managed to keep in step with the change in technology and innovation, said Gaurav Minocha, Head- Home Appliances, Panasonic India, while making the announcement.

“In the hundred years of its existence, the Japanese multinational electronic corporation Panasonic has tried to live up to its goal of ‘A Better Life,A Better World’," he said.

Headquartered in Osaka, Japan, the company entered the Indian market in 1972; its currently employs 13,000 people in India.

“A significant amount of market research, home visit research and customer interview went into the designing of this new line," said Minocha.

According to the company, the 'intelligent' range is equipped with core technologies and features such as ECONAVI Invertor technology that detects unconscious waste of energy using different sensors and optimises operations according to environmental conditions.

The new range offers four models of refrigerators, 17 models of washing machine and a new Invertor microwave model.

The company also provided an overview of the various products.

The washing machine models come with ActiveFoam that is said to create high-density foam to remove dirt from deep in fibres, while the StainMaster feature is for removing stubborn stains. These models are available in the capacity of 6.2kgs to 14kgs in the range of Rs 20,000 to Rs 60,000.

Prices of the 307 L and 336 L refrigerators start from Rs. 37,000 and Rs. 45,000, respectively, and come with intelligent ECONAVI sensors that optimize the cooling performance for advanced energy savings and the AG Clean technology which ensures 99.9 peer cent bacteria elimination. The Refrigerator range is available in Pointed Flower- Wine, Flower- Blue, and Wine Lilly colours.

The Panasonic microwaves, ranging between Rs. 6700 to 20,990, according to the company, allow users to cook meals without oil. Panasonic MWO -30 Convection model is available in 20, 23 & 27 litre variants. These models are equipped with features such as Auto Menu for cooking quick meals, Vapour Clean for easy cleaning, Epoxy grey cavity coating for protection against any kind of dirt accumulation.

With this new launch, Panasonic is looking at 40 per cent growth in the home appliances category in FY 2018-19.


There was a display of the new products and few videos were shown which talked about the history of Panasonic and its journey till date.
