Petrol, diesel prices increase after two days
New Delhi/UNI: Following a two days' pause, petrol and diesel prices were hiked on Friday, hitting a new record.
Petrol and diesel prices were increased by Rs 27 and Rs 30 respectively across the four metro cities.
According to state-run Indian Oil Corporation website, in Mumbai, petrol price was raised by 26 paise to cost 100.98 Rs per litre, while diesel prices were increased by 30 paise to 92.99 Rs per litre.
In Delhi, petrol rate was raised by 27 paise from 94.49 Rs to 94.76 Rs per litre, while diesel price was increased by 28 paise from 85.38 Rs to 85.66 Rs per litre.
Since May 4, fuel prices have been revised 18 times. In the meantime, in the National Capital, petrol and diesel prices were increased by 4.36 Rs and 4.93 Rs respectively.
In Kolkata, petrol was hiked by 26 paise to 94.76 Rs per litre while diesel prices were hiked by 28 paise to 88.51 Rs.
In Chennai, petrol was hiked by 24 paise to 96.23 Rs per litre while diesel was increased by 26 paise to 90.38 Rs per litre.
Petrol-diesel prices are reviewed daily and changes are implemented, if any, with effect from 0600 hrs every day.
